On Wednesday, June 25, 2025, the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) held an official event to launch the Arabic version of the Skills for Innovation (SFI) program. The initiative is a collaborative effort between ALECSO, Classera, Intel, Millennium@EDU, and JPIK, and took place at ALECSO’s headquarters in Tunis, Tunisia.
The event welcomed representatives from the ministries of education across 16 Arab countries, including Jordan, Lebanon, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Somalia, Syria, Palestine, Oman, Sudan, Iraq, Tunisia, the UAE, Mauritania, Morocco, and Libya. It brought together experts and decision-makers in digital education to exchange national experiences and discuss how to adapt the program to meet each country’s unique needs.
In his opening remarks, Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, Director-General of ALECSO, emphasized that the Arabic rollout of the SFI program is part of a broader strategic vision to enhance education across the Arab world and equip it to meet the challenges of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. He praised the fruitful collaboration with the program’s partners and thanked the Tunisian Ministry of Education for its vital support in organizing the event.
The event highlighted the program’s core components, including professional development for teachers, the creation of digital learning content, the launch of educational competitions, and the appointment of national coordinators in participating countries.
This launch marked a pioneering step in digital transformation in Arab education, positioning Classera and its partners as leaders in fostering innovation and enabling educators to drive meaningful change in their schools.
As part of the event, the full Arabic version of Intel’s Skills for Innovation (SFI) program was officially launched. The program aims to empower teachers and foster innovation in classrooms across the region. Additionally, the Innovative Teacher Competition was announced, celebrating educators who are leading change and applying best practices in teaching and learning.
The Arabic content of the SFI program is now fully available on Classera's platforms, offering easy access to teachers and educational institutions across the Arab world.
